About Matchcast

You know the match is on. You just don't know where.

Every sports fan has been there: kickoff is in twenty minutes and you're searching through apps, checking social media, texting friends in another timezone -- all to answer one question. Where can I watch this match?

Matchcast answers that question. For any match, in any sport, in any country. Instantly. No sign-up required. No paywall. Just the answer.

The numbers

Matchcast tracks broadcast information across 13 sports, 80+ competitions, and 96 countries. Our database holds over 26,000 broadcast listings from 905+ broadcasters covering 1,270+ teams. These numbers grow every week as we add new leagues, new countries, and new sources.

How it works

We aggregate broadcast data from over 15 official sources -- league APIs, rights databases, broadcaster schedules, and verified public records. Every listing is assigned a confidence score between 0 and 1.0 based on the source's reliability and how recently the data was verified. A match broadcast from an official league API scores higher than one parsed from a secondary reference.

Our data pipeline runs automatically throughout the day, pulling fresh fixtures and broadcast assignments so you see accurate information whether you're checking tonight's matches or planning for next week.

What we cover

Matchcast covers fixtures and broadcast data across:

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Ice Hockey
  • American Football
  • Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Rugby
  • Formula 1
  • AFL
  • Boxing
  • MMA
  • Golf

Within these sports we cover leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, NBA, NFL, IPL, NHL, MLB, and AFL -- plus dozens more. New competitions are added with every data pipeline update.

What Matchcast is not

Matchcast is not a streaming service. We do not host, link to, or facilitate access to any unauthorised streams. We do not provide live scores, fantasy stats, or social commentary. We do one thing -- tell you which legitimate broadcaster is showing a match in your country -- and we do it well.

We point you to the right place. What you watch and how you subscribe is entirely your choice.

Community-verified data

Broadcast rights change constantly -- mid-season deals, regional blackouts, last-minute schedule shifts. No single source catches everything. That is why Matchcast includes a community verification layer. Registered users can confirm or flag broadcast listings, and those signals feed back into our confidence scores.

If you spot incorrect or missing information, report it here. Every report is reviewed and helps improve accuracy for everyone.

Editorial standards

How we source, score, and publish broadcast data is summarised here. The long-form version — with the full source list, the confidence scoring scale, and the bright-line policies — lives on the methodology page.

Sources

Matchcast aggregates from 15+ official providers: official league APIs (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, ESPN, football-data.org), licensed rights databases (TheSportsDB Premium), broadcaster schedule feeds (LiveSoccerTV, WherestheMatch, LiveSportsOnTV), and verified public records. Every source is named in our internal data lineage, and the source for any individual listing is available via our public API. We do not scrape competitor sites, and we do not republish data we do not have the right to use.

Confidence scoring

Every broadcast listing carries a confidence score between 0 and 1.0, calculated from source reliability, recency, and cross-source agreement. An official league API confirmation scores higher than a single secondary reference. Confidence decays over time when not re-confirmed. Low-confidence listings are flagged visually and prioritised for community review.

Editorial review

Our editorial team writes original guides covering how to watch each competition, by country, with pricing and free-to-air alternatives. The guides are not auto-generated -- each one is hand-researched against current broadcaster pricing pages and rights deals. As of 2026, 49 guides are live, covering ~110,000 words of original editorial. Each guide is dated and reviewed quarterly against current rights.

What we will not do

  • We do not list unauthorised streams. Ever.
  • We do not scrape data from competitor sites or apps.
  • We do not display affiliate listings as if they were independent recommendations.
  • We do not let advertising relationships influence which broadcasters appear in our lists or in what order.
  • We do not publish without a confidence score, a source, and a path for community correction.

Free. No catch.

Matchcast is free to use. No premium tier. No paywall gating core features. No account required to search. We sustain the service through display advertising -- sports-relevant ads served by third-party ad networks. We do not sell or share your personal data. We do not gate broadcaster listings behind affiliate relationships. Your attention is what you trade us for the service; your data is not the product.

Who built this

Matchcast is built by gfund.ai -- an independent product studio focused on free, ad-supported consumer tools that genuinely help people. Matchcast is our sports product. We are not owned by a broadcaster, a sportsbook, or a streaming service. We have no commercial dependency on any single rights-holder, which is what lets us publish broadcaster comparisons honestly.

For corrections, partnership enquiries, press, or anything else, reach us at [email protected].

For developers

Matchcast is API-first. The same data that powers the website is available through our public API. If you are building a sports app, media product, or editorial tool and need broadcast data, the API is the place to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Matchcast?

Matchcast is a free broadcast finder for live sports. For any upcoming match, across 13 sports and 96+ countries, Matchcast tells you exactly which TV channels and streaming services are carrying it. No scores, no stats, no social feeds — just the answer to "where can I watch this match?".

Is Matchcast free to use?

Yes, completely free. No premium tier, no paywall, no account required to search. Matchcast sustains itself through display advertising — sports-relevant ads served by third-party ad networks. We do not sell or share your personal data. Ads are our revenue model. Your attention is what you trade us; your data is not.

How does Matchcast get its broadcast data?

Matchcast aggregates data from 15+ official sources including league APIs (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, ESPN), rights databases, broadcaster schedules, and verified public records. Every listing receives a confidence score between 0 and 1.0 based on source reliability and recency. The data pipeline runs automatically throughout the day so information stays current.

Which sports and competitions does Matchcast cover?

Matchcast covers 13 sports: football, basketball, American football, baseball, ice hockey, tennis, cricket, rugby, Formula 1, AFL, boxing, MMA, and golf. Within those sports we track 80+ competitions including the Premier League, La Liga, NBA, NFL, IPL, NHL, MLB, and AFL — plus the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Does Matchcast show illegal streams?

No. Matchcast only links to legitimate, licensed broadcasters. We do not host, index, or link to unauthorised streams of any kind. Every broadcaster in our database is a rights-holding entity — either a free-to-air channel, a cable network, or a licensed streaming service.

Can I report a missing or incorrect broadcast?

Yes — use the report link on any match or broadcast page. Community reports feed directly into our confidence scoring system and are reviewed manually. Broadcast rights change frequently, so accurate reports from fans are genuinely valuable.
